a.       For each Cisco product serial number, there is an according hardware instance, well recorded in the online Cisco Service and Contract Tool (SCCT). No matter the Cisco products you have bought is new or used, please contact your Cisco AM or ICI, we could help you verify all the basic information of this hardware, including original product number, manufactured date, service status, installed place, etc.

b.       For more complicated equipment or network modules, usually there are yellow manufacture date tags sticking to the hardware.
