Bug Id: | CSCus71242 | Title: | DLP file manament causes gateway CPU use nears 100 or proc collisions |
|
Status: | Open |
|
Severity: | 3 Moderate |
Description: | Symptom: Symptoms:
Severe: * Users can see many instances of scripts being active. * many processes of command 'lsof' * the DLP Output folder continues to grow
Mild: * Event Vision fills with errors/warnings regarding failure to move files from the DLP Output folder for example: Checksum compare is failing between /infobright_dlp/ifb_dlp_data/DLP_Output_Files and /infobright_backup/ifb_backup * Event Vision warnings may not be very frequent maybe 4-5 times daily.
Conditions: there are number of scripts being executed as root from the crontab. The scripts have no protections against long runs of the script. The lack of protection leads to severe CPU and filesystem troubles.
This bug is for /var/adm/cisco/infobright/move_dlp_files.sh ; however the scripts in the same folder should be checked if any protections need to be used for their executions
The severe symptoms occur because of a very large backlog which can be because of systems being down for a long time or connectivity issues to the active gateway.
Workaround: to prevent server failure:
-fix missing ssh key issue for infobright scripts: ssh-keygen -f /var/adm/cisco/infobright/.ssh/id_rsa -N '' cat /var/adm/cisco/infobright/.ssh/id_rsa.pub >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys
-send keys to all pn hosts, gatways and units: cd /var/adm/cisco/infobright/.ssh/ scp -p * :/var/adm/cisco/infobright/.ssh

Bug Id: | CSCut06773 | Title: | Subinterface&Pw of a regular bridge are incorrectly contained in EVC |
|
Status: | Open |
|
Severity: | 3 Moderate |
Description: |
Symptom: The components (Sub interface or EFP) connected to a regular bridge with an association such as pseudowire or vfi are shown in EVC discovery as separate entities and does not represent the actual connection of the components ie EFP/Subinterface ->Regular bridge ->Association (vfi/pseudowire) This is because Regular bridges with associations are not displayed in bridge domain discovery (Feature implementation ).Hence, the components such as EFP /L3-Sub-interface will be contained in the EVC discovery along with the association such as vfi or pseudo wire without the regular bridge connecting them and hence is misleading as it will display only the name of the regular bridge which actually joins both the component and the association
Conditions: From Add to Map->EVC discovery an EVC of the association ie vfi or pseudowire of the regular bridge and the components such as EFP or L3-subinterface is formed without actually representing the exact network scenario as regular bridges will not be discovered as part of Bridge domain discovery
