localtime call causes sla_exec Coredump
Status:
Fixed
Severity:
3 Moderate
Description:

Symptom:

sla_exec abnormally terminates when attempting to display Ethernet SLA operations.

Conditions:

This bug only impacts the NCS6k platform when running Ethernet SLA operations.

Workaround:

It may be possible to retrieve the SLA information using the MIB (where applicable). On-demand operations can be started using the "async" option to prevent the abnormal termination when displaying the results.

Further Problem Description:

The process abnormally terminates due to incorrect assumptions about the size of time structures which causes a time decoding API to fail unexpectedly.
