Bug Id: | CSCur68162 | Title: | CCM job/CB exe not work when "Ask for user creds" is en and device is wi |
|
Status: | Fixed |
|
Severity: | 3 Moderate |
Description: | Symptom: PN has the option give the user enter his own creds before execution of NCCM job/Command builder.
In case a device has the following sequance
Username: Password: > en Password: #
and the VNE is modeled via telnet and user will execute a job and add device creds (username and password), PN will use the selected creds and for the rest of the sequance PN will take it from VNE properties(right behavior).
In case VNE is modeled via SSH and user will execute a job and put device creds, PN will fail the job and the following error will appear in the AVM log
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: cannot create a telnet login command where number of prompts is not the same as number of commands + 1
VNE that is modeled via SSH should act as VNE that is modeled via telnet. Meaning it should use the selected username/password and take the rest of the sequance from the VNE properties.
There will be a limitation for the feature in case there are other types of sequances beside username/password in the begining of the sequance ex: Password: > Password:
A doc bug will be raised to add the limitation in the GUI
Conditions: 1. Have device with the following sequence Username: Password: > Password: # 2. Model the device via SSH 3. On PN Administration -> Global Settings -> Security Settings -> User Account Settings check "Ask for user credentials ..." 4. Run NCCM job/Command builder and add username/password
The job will fail
Workaround: execute a command when "Ask for user credentials when running device configuration operations" is not checked
