The vulnerability is due to improper parsing of a malformed TACACS packet. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a malformed TACSCS packet to be processed by an affected
device. An exploit could allow the attacker to cause a reload of the TACACS process on the affected device.
Conditions:
TACACSd configured.
Workaround:
None. After crashing, AAA or TACACS process can be restarted to resume normal operation.

Also, [RFC4038], Section 4.2 suggests that IPv4-mapped IPv6-addressed
packets should never appear on the wire.

Workaround:
There is no workaround.
To recover from forwarding issues after the initial ifmgr process crash restart the ifmgr process on the linecard again.
Further Problem Description:
Issues with interfaces not forwarding traffic, interfaces staying in a down state, or lost interface configuration may results after the ifmgr process crash.
